Things have been getting out of control the last few years, and we are going to really crack down on it this year.
I DO allow frame and body repair within reason, so call with any questions.

GENERAL RULES:

ALL HOODS MUST BE OPEN FOR INSPECTION
-
All vehicles must have a number sign on roof. Minimum size is 12” x 12”.

Any disqualification due to a driver’s door hit will be decided by the judges. Judges decisions are final.
-
A hole must be cut in the hood in case of a fire. All drivers must have a fire extinguisher in their cars at all times.
-
All cars must have glass and chrome trim removed prior to entering the grounds.
-
No trailer hitches.
-
Cars must be equipped with seat belts which must be worn at all times.
-
All gas tanks must be removed from their stock position. Gas tanks must be fastened securely. Absolutely NO plastic tanks. All gas tanks must be covered.

Transmission coolers and electric fuel pumps are allowed.
-
ALL vehicles must have brakes at the start of the event.
-
Batteries must be mounted inside the passenger’s front compartment. Batteries must be fastened securely and covered.
-
NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED IN THE PIT AREA.
-
Cars must be at the grounds at least one hour prior to the start of the event.

JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL. Judges have the right to disqualify any car or driver for not obeying the rules.

ANY harassment towards the judges, by the driver or pit crew, will result in disqualification and you will be asked to leave.

There will be no substitute drivers without prior approval from the judges. Any substitution of a driver without approval will result in disqualification and forfeiture of any winnings.
Full-Size Cars
-
All cars must be stock. No Chrysler Imperials. No tucked wagons.

All doors must be chained, bolted, or welded shut. If welded use (2) – 4X4 patches per door seam. Trunk may have (2) – 4X4 patches per seam and up to 4 pins, only 2 may attach to the frame. Hood may have up to 4 pins. ONLY 2 at core support may attach to frame. NO HOOD PINS PAST CENTER OF A-FRAME. DRIVER’S SIDE DOOR BAR IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

All gas tanks must be removed from their stock position. Gas tanks must be mounted in the rear seat area of the car. Gas tanks must be fastened securely. Absolutely no plastic tanks. All gas tanks must be covered.

Any 13”, 14”, or 15” tire is allowed.

Spring clamps are allowed. Suspension may be altered. You may leaf a 1980 and newer car only. You may have up to seven (7) AUTOMOTIVE springs only, and they must stagger down. No homemade spring packs allowed.

A-frames may be welded. Seams on the frame from A-Frame forward may be welded.
-
Radiators must be in stock position. ***Radi barrels may be used and must be mounted in original radiator position. You may choose to have no cooling system at all.

NO WELDING ON ANY PART OF CAR EXCEPT:
- Bumpers may be welded on. This includes the brackets, no adding of iron to do this. We do not want them falling off.
- Rear ends.

ABSOLUTELY NO SEAM WELDING ON ANY PART ON THE FRAME EXCEPT FROM THE A-FRAME FORWARD (see rule #14) WILL BE ALLOWED.

You may have a full cage inside car. Dash bar and seat bars are allowed for driver safety. Bars may be connected to each other with door bars and may be connected to the floor in four spots only. Bars may not be welded to frame. Bars may not extend past the firewall and can only extend 6 inches behind front doors. Rollover bars are allowed, but must remain within safety cage area!
COMPACT CARS

This class is open to front or rear wheel drive cars.

All of the rules that apply for the big cars will also apply for this class.

Compact car wheel base must not be more than 105 inches.

Radi Barrels ARE permitted in the compact cars. Radi Barrels may be built no more than 24” x 24” x 3” thick. Must be mounted in original radiator position.

Only 4cyl. or 6 cyl. engines will be allowed in compact class.
-
ANY EXCEPTIONS TO ANY OF THE COMPACT CAR RULES WILL BE DECIDED BY THE JUDGES.

1980 & NEWER Full-Size Cars
- All Cars must be stock. Any 1980 and newer cars.
- Doors can be chained or welded shut. 4 chains or 4”x 4” pads per door on 4 doors or 6 chains or 4”x4” pads on 2 doors. Chains to be min 5/16” single loop, 24” long max.
- Hoods can be secured in up to 6 places using either-or combination of maximum ¾” diameter rods, or 5/16” single loop chains. Rods or chains can go through/around frame. If using rods, washers to be a max of 4”x4”.
- Trunks can be secured in up to 4 places using either-or combination of – maximum ¾” diameter rods, or 5/16’ single loop chains. Rods or chains can go through/around frame. If using rods, washers to be a max of 4”x4”. Station Wagons can patch weld tailgate with (6) 4”x4” pads.
- Driver’s door may be welded shut. A driver’s side door bar is strongly recommended, not to exceed 1” out from body and no more than 4” past door seams.
- Stiffening of suspension allowed.
- Radiators must be in stock position. You may choose to have no cooling system at all. Radi Barrels are allowed, must be at least 1” inside frame rails 3” max outside dimension. Bolted or welded to core support only. May add 2 flat straps to core support only to hold barrel.
- No welding on any part of car except:
- Bumpers may be welded on. You may move bumpers back to frame and weld. You can weld factory bumper brackets, no adding of iron to do this.
- Rear ends.
- Absolutely no seam welding on any part of the body or frame will be allowed.
- For driver’s safety only, a brace may be installed behind the driver’s seat. It must run diagonally only from window post to rocker, you may add kicker or an X. It must be no larger than 4” pipe or tubing, thick walled materials, and plates on each end no bigger than 6”x6”.
- Front dash bar is also permitted. It must be no larger than 4” pipe or tubing, thick walled material, and plates on each end no bigger than 6”x6”.
- Passenger side door kicker may be added from dash bar to cross bracing or rocker. No other steel may be attached to this kicker.
- If factory floor is gone (rusted), you may weld in floor not to exceed 1/8” thickness but can not be welded to sub frame. Judges will have a drill and if it is questionable it will be checked.
- Floors may be bolted to sub frame in up to 4 places. Using a max. of ¾” diameter rod/bolts and 5”.5” plates/washers.
- Airbags MUST be de-activated before race.
Truck Rules
- Only ½ ton and ¾ ton trucks or Suburbans will be permitted. 4x4 trucks are allowed, but front drive shafts MUST be removed.
- Gas tanks must be mounted in the box of the truck next to the cab. Absolutely no plastic gas tanks will be allowed.
- A four-point cage inside the cab consisting of a dash bar, a driver’s side door bar, passenger side door bar and a bar behind the seat will be permitted. Kickers may go to the frame, but must remain inside cab area, and may not go past firewall. A cage & rollover bar is strongly recommended.
- Doors may be welded using the five-on, five-off welding rule. Tailgates may be welded solid. The box may be welded to the cab.
- Only 14”, 15”, 16”, or 16.5” tires will be allowed.
- Front bumpers may be welded on. Any automotive-type bumper may be used.
- Spring clamps will be allowed. Suspension may be raised. A-frames may be welded.
- The hood must be bolted or chained. You may do this with four hood pins or four chains. The hood pins may be attached to the frame.
- ABSOLUTELY NO FRAME PLATING WILL BE ALLOWED EXCEPT FOR FRAME REPAIR.
- All radiators must be in stock position. You may also choose not to run one at all. Radi Barrels are permitted. Radi Barrels may be built no more than 24” x 24” x 3” thick. Must be mounted in original radiator position.
- Batteries must be mounted inside the passenger’s compartment. They must be securely fastened and covered.
